1. Regulation (EC) Nr. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).

WIKA as a manufacturer of measuring and control instruments, do not produce any substances/chemicals and are therefore neither a manufacturer nor an importer of chemical products within the meaning of REACH regulation. The products manufactured by WIKA Group are considered ”articles” in the sense of REACH and these products do not release any chemical substances under normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, i.e. there is no obligation to register.

According to Article 33 of the REACH regulation, WIKA have an obligation to inform about substances in articles that fulfil one of the criteria of Article 57. This information obligation takes place via the delivery note. As soon as new substances are added to the candidate list, WIKA has a standard process for testing and assessing the new substances.
